Sign in 3 steps

Step 1

In the form under the heading "Sign PDF" upload the PDF document that you want to sign.

Step 2

Determine where in the document the signature should be inserted. The signature is displayed as a rectangular signature block.

Under "Type of positioning", choose one of these three methods:
  • Automatically:
    The signature block is inserted directly below the last line of your document. If there is not enough space left on the page, it is inserted on a new page.
  • QR placeholder.
    The person creating the PDF can insert a QR code anywhere in the document as a placeholder for the signature. The signature block then replaces this placeholder.

    By using "QR placeholder" you can create one or more QR codes.
    You can use several placeholders, for example, if several people are to sign the same document. Give each placeholder its own number as an identifier. Inform the people who will be signing the document what number they should enter as an identifier. So every signature ends up in the right place.
  • Manual positioning.
    Enter the horizontal and vertical distance that the upper left corner of the signature block should have to the lower left corner of the document page in millimeters. The signature block is 80 millimeters wide and 29 millimeters high.
    Notice
    Have you created a PDF document that you want someone else to sign? It is best to always enter the two values for manual positioning. In this way, the signature reliably ends up in the right place.

Step 3

Press the "ID Austria/Handy-Signatur" button and follow the instructions to sign.

You will then be taken to a page where you can download the signed document.
